Corona Del Mar - Beach Photography

Corona del Mar (Spanish for "Crown of the Sea") is a neighborhood in Newport Beach, California. It generally consists of all land on the seaward face of the San Joaquin Hills south of Avocado Street to the city limits, as well as the development of Irvine Terrace, just north of Avocado. Beaches in the area include Corona del Mar State Beach as well as Crystal Cove State Park south of Corona del Mar, accessible by paths winding down a steep hillside.

Went with two friends for some Nightshots at the beach in Corona del Mar. First time approach of this style. More from that shoot

This image was shot using a Canon 1ds Camera with a 16-35L Mark2 Lens. 224 Seconds at Aperture: f/7.1, Focal Length: 19 mm Photo Tips
Use a sturdy tripod, especially for Long Exposures. Get yourself a flashlight, focusing is pretty hard. Study the tide tables for the best day to get there, the lowest, the better
TIPS
Make sure you are dressed well, is windy and cold there after sunset.
Make sure you get there in time, beach closes at 10pm and the Ranger will kick you out if he catches you there...
